On May 14, 2026, a meeting of the Council for Sustainable Development under the Toraga Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Bishkek, dedicated to issues of biosafety, ecology and innovation. Participants discussed the implementation of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Biological Safety”, the development of the national biosafety system and measures to strengthen the country’s environmental sustainability.
